Finally, the Jaguars’ home has a name.
Jacksonville Municipal Stadium will no longer simply be called Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, instead giving way to EverBank Stadium after the local company agreed in principle to a multimillion-dollar deal for the building’s naming rights, WJXT-TV reported Monday.
Hey, it’s not a bad deal for the Jaguars, who reportedly can keep 75 percent of any revenue from the sale of naming rights to the stadium.
Some other tidbits from Around the Web on Monday night:
- The Buccaneers aren’t planning on any contract talks with LT Donald Penn, who probably will hold out from training camp.
- The Patriots only have one rookie left to sign — first-round draft pick Devin McCourty.
- Edgerrin James remains open to playing again.
- The Florida Highway Patrol is still waiting to hear from Dolphins WR Brian Hartline regarding a car accident.
