While the Chargers are preparing to make a run at a fifth straight AFC West title, it was Philip Rivers hair, or lack thereof, that stood out as the rookies and quarterbacks hit the field Monday.

While it’s not quite a Britney Spears moment, you have to wonder what made Rivers go with the look. It’s not like the heat in San Diego would force one to trim back this time of year. Maybe he’s going for a more aerodynamic approach to his game in case the Chargers decide to run him out of the Wildcat formation.

Either way, the biggest news to come out of training camps so far has been Rivers’ new look and Dez Bryant refusing to carry Roy Williams’ shoulder pads.

What’s next? The Bengals open camp Wednesday and rumors of T.O. landing in Cincinnati continue. Let your imagination run wild.
