Adrian Peterson: Favre’s coming back

There seems to be a growing competition between Brett Favre and his hopeful soon-to-be-official Vikings teammate, Adrian Peterson, on which one has spent the offseason being more “Hollywood.” Both walked the red carpet at the ESPYs. Favre filmed a Wrangler commercial. Peterson took a page from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and filmed a cameo on the HBO series “Entourage.”
Peterson returned to Norman, Okla., last Friday to coach Oklahoma City high school students (sound familiar?) and got the Favre question, along with a few about himself, from The Daily Oklahoman.
- On Favre: “I saw him down in L.A. for the first time this offseason, at the ESPYs. Looking in his eyes, I got the sense he was coming back.”
- How’d he do on “Entourage?” “Uh … it was 50-50. I’m always hard on myself.”
- When asked about his fumbling issues, Peterson said, “As far as fumbling, that’s part of the game.” But he added, “I know what I have to do as a player to help my team, to accomplish our ultimate goal, and that’s to win the NFC North and win a Super Bowl. And that’s really staying focused. You know, small things, where I can sharpen up.”
