Young: ‘I have to get better and better’

We’ve had a lot of time — and I mean a lot — this offseason to talk about the strides made, and not made, by Titans QB Vince Young.
Outside of that dust-up in the backroom of a strip club, the reports on Young have been positive. Young has said he needs to be more of a leader. While the Titans wait to see if that comes to fruition, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean suggested Monday that Titans coaches believe Young’s renewed commitment and focus will pay off this coming season.
Really, what’s left for Young is to just go out and prove it. He seems to understand that, and he told The Tennessean he knows he has to improve.
“I feel like I finished pretty good,” Young said of last season. “I put it as a B, B-minus, in that range, knowing I have to get better and better. Now I feel like myself even more. I feel like my game is going to excel, and as the leader of the team, I want to bring everybody together. We have a lot of new faces around here. I want to lead the way.”
Young wants to lead the way. As the unquestioned starter, he’ll certainly have that chance.
