If Pitts proves healthy, signing could come soon

At the onset of free agency, Chester Pitts was regarded as one of the best available options at guard. While the market for Pitts has been slower to develop as he mends from microfracture surgery on his knee, it now appears he could sign sooner rather than later.
NFL Network insider Jason LaCanfora noted on Monday that several teams — the 49ers, Eagles and Seahawks — have been watching Pitts closely, and if he shows he could pass a physical when he works out in Arizona on Tuesday, his signing could come soon.
It remains to be seen how much interest the 49ers hold after drafting Mike Iupati in the first round. The Vikings had also been a team rumored to be interested in Pitts.
Pitts noted during a radio interview earlier in the offseason that the Bengals, Dolphins, Lions and Seahawks had shown interest.
