Romo seeks redemption on the greens

Put away your fantasy games, people.
The opening round of the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament kicks off Friday — and this year’s organizers have manipulated the RSVP list to full effect.
NBA godfather Michael Jordan, Cowboys QB Tony Romo and the Celtics’ Ray Allen will tee off together in the flesh, followed by a quarterback trio to die for: Troy Aikman, John Elway and Aaron Rodgers.
The annual 54-hole tournament at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nev., will also allow Redskins fans to witness former Washington quarterbacks Joe Theismann and Mark Rypien team with the team’s new coach Mike Shanahan.
They’ll be pursued by (former) offensive weapons Jerry Rice, Sterling Sharpe, and NFL Network’s very own Marshall Faulk.
In the end, it’s Romo who hits the scene with an axe to grind. Romo was last year’s runner-up and he’s a favorite in 2010 to join Rypien (the 1990 winner) as the only other active player to walk away with the prize.
Keep ex-jinx Jessica Simpson out of Nevada, and this one’s money in the bank.
