Tim Tebow hasn’t played a down in the NFL, but that hasn’t made an impact in one of the biggest indicators of popularity — jersey sales.
And according to our friends at the league office, Tebow is the most recent league-leader in jersey sales — for all players — from the period between April 1 and June 30 on NFL.com/Shop.
Tebow currently ranks ahead of some of the biggest names — well, all of the biggest names — and is followed immediately on the list by five quarterbacks in offseason sales. Here’s a look at the top of the list:
1. Tim Tebow (Broncos)
2. Donovan McNabb (Redskins)
3. Drew Brees (Saints)
4. Peyton Manning (Colts)
5. Tony Romo (Cowboys)
6. Brett Favre (Vikings)
The next rookie on the list is Ndamukong Suh of the Lions at No. 8, followed by first overall draft pick Sam Bradford of the Rams at No. 9. Two other rookies, the Cowboys’ Dez Bryant (15) and the Chiefs’ Eric Berry (18) also made the top 20.
The Broncos also lead the league in overall jersey sales on NFL.com/Shop during the same period.
