Fitzgerald sees 13 million reasons why Favre returns

For several months, we’ve been accumulating theories and opinions that Brett Favre will return to play a second season with the Vikings in 2010, with not much pointing to the contrary.

It has played out something like this: Favre has ankle surgery …¬†Favre wants to beat the Saints …¬†Cris Carter said so … Favre is throwing passes to high schoolers.

We can now thank Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald for adding some logic to the endless trail of speculation. Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune passed along this from Fitzgerald, via Twitter.

“He will be there for sure,” Fitzgerald said. “Who would turn down $13 million? Would you?”

Well played, Larry.
