Bengals LB Rey Maualuga had a sobering experience. Literally.
Maualuga said that he sobered up real fast when he was arrested for DUI in January and entered an alcohol treatment facility in February. Maualuga told at-risk children at an NFL Play 60 event in his hometown of Eureka, Calif. that he was now on the straight and narrow (via the team’s official site).

“Nothing. No alcoholic beverages,” he said of this spring and summer. “I go out. But not as much. Sometimes I go to dinner with my family or hang out with the guys. I’ve been in situations. I have cranberry and Red Bull.”
Isn’t a cranberry and Red Bull …

“Ochocinco’s drink.”
Maybe a turn on Dancing with the Stars is in order, eh?
A motivated Maualuga is a good Maualuga as the former USC linebacker was having a promising rookie season before breaking his ankle at the end of the year. Bengals fans have to be excited about this news.
