Young believes Johnson will report to training camp

Chris Johnson hasn’t given us any indication during his offseason holdout that he’ll be on hand July 31 when the Titans open training camp. We’ve been hearing, with more frequency, that it’s more likely that Johnson will stick to his promise of not playing for the $550,000 that he’s due in base salary next season.
Last time he was asked, Johnson only offered a “no comment” on whether he would report.
Johnson missed another day of voluntary practice Thursday. But QB Vince Young was on hand and offered the opinion that Johnson will end his boycott of Titans’ practices when camp starts.
“I am pretty sure he’ll (be here),” Young said. “He has to pay his bills.”
Could be just an honest opinion. But, by chance, if Young had been trusted with some inside information only he was supposed to know, he just killed any leverage Johnson was holding.
