Owners shouldn’t forget about Bears WR Hester

Heading into the 2010 season, Devin Aromashodu is getting a lot of sleeper attention in the world of fantasy football. The same holds true of Johnny Knox.
But fantasy leaguers would be wise not to overlook Devin Hester.
As we talked about yesterday, new offensive coordinator Mike Martz has big plans for Hester, who he called “elite.” Martz has confirmed that Hester will be one of his two starters to open the 2010 campaign, with Knox the current favorite for the other spot.
Aromashodu, who is clearly the favorite target of Jay Cutler, has been learning the slot.
While the value of Hester and Knox is rising, keep in mind that it’s only June. That means the depth chart can change several times before the Bears open their season against the Lions. Based on Martz’s past success in the passing game, there’s a good chance that one of this trio could finish in the top 25 in fantasy points among wide receivers.
In the latest version of my offseason receiver rankings, I have Aromashodu (No. 37 overall) ranked slightly ahead of both Hester, who moved up to No. 40 overall, and Knox (No. 54).
