Sanchez expects to take part in minicamp

Another day of Jets offseason OTAs brings us yet another update on the surgically repaired left knee of QB Mark Sanchez.
Sanchez took part in a full practice Tuesday for the first time this offseason following surgery in February. On Thursday, he told reporters that judging by his recent progress, he expects to take part when the Jets open a three-day minicamp from June 14-16.
“It’s felt great,” Sanchez said, noting the key is how the knee responds the day after a full practice. “It’s important to be able to get out there and feel it first, but that minicamp is important. That’s as close to camp, as close to a game that we get during the summer.”
Sanchez was asked if there were a game Sunday (of course there isn’t), what his reaction would be.
“I’m playing,” he said. ”I’m in. Let’s go.”
Jets Nation can collectively exhale. Sanchez will be ready to go.
