Reid: DeSean Jackson will report to camp on time

One wide receiver named Jackson isn’t positioning for a holdout (Vincent would be the one that is holding out in San Diego). That’s Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson, who will report on time to training camp, according to coach Andy Reid.

Reid told reporters Thursday that Jackson has missed the final week of voluntary OTAs for personal reasons, and would report on time, saying simply, “He’ll be here.” Eagles camp opens on July 29.

Jackson, who has two years left on his rookie contract, has been a regular at the Eagles’ offseason programs, according to the team’s official Web site.

Reid updated the health status of several players, with no major news, but did note that C Jamaal Jackson (torn ACL) will “most likely” not be ready for training camp as he continues his rehab from surgery. Reid didn’t have a timeline for Jackson’s return, but offered that his availability for the season opener might be in jeopardy.
