I’m told the likelihood of him doing a full-blown news conference isn’t high, according to a source with knowledge of the situation, though he will gradually have more routine interaction with the media.

However, Roethlisberger and his handlers have been mulling options about addressing the many questions that people want answered in a more intimate forum. A sit-down with a national media figure — perhaps even a non-sports host such as Oprah Winfrey or Larry King — is a distinct possibility, according to the source.

Nothing is finalized, but any interview likely will come in the coming weeks, before the start of training camp.
