Forsett’s value rises after White’s release

It was nice while it lasted, LenDale White.
In a stunning move, the Seattle Seahawks have released the veteran running back just over a month after acquiring him during the NFL Draft. The decision of general manager John Schneider and coach Pete Carroll makes White nearly undraftable in fantasy leagues.
That’s a huge shift in value, as I had projected White as the team’s starting running back and a potential flex starter in most formats. Now, it looks like Justin Forsett is the player to grab. Carroll has raved about his skills, and it now appears he’ll have a chance to utilize them.
I see Forsett as a potential sleeper and viable flex starter in most formats, and he’ll have added value in PPR leagues. Of course, he won’t be a true featured back — Julius Jones and Leon Washington will see some work as well — but Forsett is clearly the Seahawks’ back to target on draft day.
