Cowboys’ Williams talks up his competition

It seems as though Cowboys WR Roy Williams has spent a lot of time discussing rookie Dez Bryant this offseason. But that’s likely due to the fact Williams is constantly asked about Bryant. It’s a vicious cycle.

Just last week Williams told reporters he wasn’t ready to give up the starting spot he held last season, and he told The Dallas Morning News on Tuesday he expects a “fair competition” with Bryant. But he didn’t stop there, offering up some rave reviews of what he’s seen of the new No. 88.

“The dude is scary,” Williams said. “The dude is good and he doesn’t even know it yet. Once the light bulb goes on he will probably be the best in the league.

“He’s a man among boys. He’s got big hands. Real big hands. When he shakes my hand, his fingers come up to my elbows.”
