Tebow doesn’t think high profile will be issue

Judging by the reports out of Broncos OTAs, Tim Tebow mania is now in full swing. Broncos PR guru Jim Saccomano Tweeted earlier Monday it’s the greatest interest he’s seen since John Elway was a rookie. That was 1983.
Since ignoring it isn’t an option, we’ll embrace it.
Tebow comes across as fairly neutral about the hype, telling The Denver Post‘s Patrick Saunders he isn’t concerned his high profile will be an issue with teammates.
While he is getting all the attention, the rookie reality is that Tebow is fourth on the depth chart, behind Kyle Orton, Brady Quinn and Tom Brandstater. Coach Josh McDaniels told reporters the competition will work itself out and doesn’t believe Tebow brings the attention upon himself.
“I don’t think Tim is doing much of that,” McDaniels said. “He was a successful player, obviously, in college. He’s come with a lot of attention, but I think he’s like every other rookie. … He’ll earn their respect with what he does. He’s a teammate, just like everybody else is. I don’t think it will define who he is and how he interacts with his team in terms of the attention that he gets outside the building.”
