Sources: Favre hasn’t made surgery decision

As promised, there’s more to pass along on Favre Watch 2010.

We speculated earlier on the “hot rumor” coming out of Minneapolis that Favre will decline to have the surgery that has been reported is needed in order for him to play in 2010. NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora is also on the story, telling NFL Total Access Wednesday that sources close to Favre he’s spoken to say he hasn’t made a decision on ankle surgery.

La Canfora describes some within the Vikings organization as ”quietly optimistic” about Favre’s return.

So there you have it. Expect another Favre Watch 2010 update sooner rather than later.
