Report: Haynesworth to Vikings is dead

If the Redskins do trade disgruntled DT Albert Haynesworth, it doesn’t sound as though it will be to the Minnesota Vikings.

Minneapolis Star Tribune beat writer Judd Zulgad Tweeted Wednesday that he continues to hear Haynesworth to the Vikings “is not going to happen.”

The Vikings, along with the Titans, were the teams most rumored to be in the mix for Haynesworth leading up to last month’s draft. Haynesworth, who reportedly was paid $32 million in the first 14 months of his contract, is unhappy with his role in the Redskins’ defense and isn’t participating in any voluntary workouts.

There have been many rumored trade scenarios involving Haynesworth, but this one appears dead. For now.
