Texans LB Brian Cushing retained his Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year honors with a revote on Wednesday.
Cushing, who reportedly tested positive for HCG, a fertility drug that’s on the NFL’s banned substance list, was suspended for the first four games of the 2010 five days ago. Other than a brief quote to say he was happy with the results of Wednesday’s revote, Cushing has remained mostly quiet on the events that led up to this point.
That will change on Thursday, when Cushing is scheduled for a news conference at 2 p.m. ET at the Texans’ team facility.
Many have been unhappy with Cushing’s silence throughout the process, but we’ll get a chance to hear from him on the suspension and his explanation for the positive test on a performance-enhancing banned substance.
