Around the League: Clausen given rave reviews

NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora manned the Around the League desk Wednesday on NFL Total Access, sharing some insight on Jimmy Clausen’s role in Carolina and free-agent LB Adalius Thomas‘ future.

  • Matt Moore enters the season as the Panthers’ starting QB, but according to one team official, Clausen drew rave reviews following the team’s minicamp last weekend. It’s Moore’s job to lose, but La Canfora suggests a battle during training camp.
  • After we contemplated earlier Wednesday the teams possibly interested in Thomas, La Canfora echoes the thought that the market for him has yet to develop. La Canfora takes two teams off the list, noting a tie to the Jets is “doubtful at best” and the Broncos have no interest as well.
