Steelers coach Mike Tomlin revealed to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that WR Limas Sweed left the team’s Sunday minicamp practice, apparently with a serious Achilles tendon injury.
Sweed was trying to make a fresh start with the team after spending the final two games of last season on injured reserve to deal with some emotional issues. If Sweed’s Achilles tendon is ruptured, it could delay his return by up to a year.
