McKnight won’t make fantasy impact in 2010

The Jets moved up 12 spots in the fourth round to select Joe McKnight, a talented running back out of Southern California. However, I don’t see how he can make much of a fantasy impact behind Shonn Greene, LaDainian Tomlinson and Leon Washington.
The move could signal that a trade involving Washington could be in the works. The Florida State product has signed his tender, so the Jets could look to move him at some point in the weeks and month to come.
As it stands, McKnight will battle Washington for that third spot on the depth chart. Even in a best-case scenario, he’ll have little seasonal draft appeal.
Considering Tomlinson’s age and the fact that Washington will be a free agent next season, McKnight could see a greater role for coach Rex Ryan in the near future.
