49ers sign undrafted RB Blount

Undrafted free agent RB LeGarrette Blount is signing with the 49ers, according to his agent, Zeke Sandhu.

“It’s a great organization and a great situation for him,” Sandhu said of the 49ers.

Blount has been working with Dr. Harry Edwards, an esteemed sociologist at Cal, since a season-opening incident in which Blount punched an opposing player, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Edwards, a Bay Area luminary, is a consultant for the 49ers, a team that invested considerable time and energy investigating Blount.
