Panthers interested in Texas QB McCoy

The Panthers are interested in Texas QB Colt McCoy, according to a league source, and would consider moving up in the second round Friday.

The Panthers currently have the 16th pick in the second round (48th overall), and it likely would take some maneuvering to get ahead of teams such as the Browns, Raiders and Bills, who are still looking for quarterbacks.

The Panthers parted ways with longtime QB Jake Delhomme earlier this year. Matt Moore is currently atop the team’s depth chart.
