NEW YORK — As part of the continuing celebration of the NFL draft’s 75th anniversary, some of the teams’ picks on Friday will be announced by a legend from that franchise.
The Browns’ selection will be made by Jim Brown, Dan Marino will take care of revealing the Dolphins’ choice and Ray Lewis will handle the duties for Baltimore.
Three more Hall of Famers, Floyd Little (Broncos), Rod Woodson (Steelers) and John Randle (Vikings) will also announce their former franchise’s picks.
Jarrett and Brittney Payton, children of the late Walter Payton, will make the Bears’ selection, while Deion Sanders will step up to the podium for the Falcons.
Also worth noting, there is another planned military salute on Friday night. There was one on Thursday that resulted in a lengthy ovation, and the servicemen typically receive the biggest cheers whenever they are presented.
