Gerhart could be viable handcuff for Peterson

The Vikings will have one of the hardest-hitting backfields in the league, as the team drafted Toby Gerhart to complement fantasy superstar Adrian Peterson.
Gerhart, who has been compared to former NFL great John Riggins because of his punishing running style, will have every opportunity to grab the second spot on the team’s depth chart.
Only Albert Young is currently in his way.
The Stanford product has surprising speed for his size and can play either fullback or tailback. He’ll be worth a late-round pick in seasonal drafts and could have added value if he earns the right to be Peterson’s handcuff.
As for A.D., he could see more time on passing downs with Chester Taylor out of the mix. Gerhart isn’t going to catch many balls out of the backfield, so Peterson will have added PPR appeal.
