NEW YORK — Bill Belichick is known for his creative play-calling, and with Arizona TE Rob Gronkowski now on the roster, he has another versatile weapon to employ.
Anyone who saw Gronkowski at the Early Show on Wednesday knows he certainly has a canon for an arm. He nearly knocked down weather anchor Dave Price on the program, and relished his chance to throw to the kids at the NFL Play 60 event in a game of flag football later that day.
After that event, he said he can’t wait for the opportunity to run some gadget plays at the pro level.
“I want some tight end reverse screens, where I throw the ball back to the QB,” grinned Gronkowski at the time. “I see me at least throwing one pass a year. I’m going to (lobby the coaches).”
So, there you have it Patriots fans, could we be seeing a play like this in the future but with Gronkowski on the edge instead of Moss?
