Best has some upside with the Lions

The Lions landed a versatile and explosively-fast running back in Jahvid Best, who comes off the board with the 30th overall selection. He’s a nice fit for the team, as incumbent starter Kevin Smith is still recovering from reconstructive knee surgery.
In fact, Best could end up opening next season in the backfield if Smith isn’t 100 percent.
The California product will be a viable No. 2 fantasy back if that happens. The concern here is that Best wasn’t very durable at the collegiate level, and the eventual return of Smith could create a backfield committee.
Still, Best is likely to be one of the first five rookies off the board in seasonal drafts. He’s also a top-10 dynasty league pick.
