Tannenbaum weighs risk versus reward

New York Jets general manger Mike Tannenbaum has been a very busy man. But not too busy to join NFL Total Access Monday to talk about the trade he orchestrated over the weekend, bringing in Santonio Holmes from the Steelers in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick.
Tannenbaum, who told reporters earlier Monday he’s aware of the risk involved in acquiring Holmes, also offered some insight into the trade for Antonio Cromartie, signing LaDainian Tomlinson and the team’s pursuit of Jason Taylor.
“We look at them as opportunities. Players who got cut, the restricted market, the trade market,” Tannenbaum said. “For every trade or transaction we do, we’re looking at 10 or 15 others. Within reason, we’ll do whatever we can to improve this team.”
