Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen will finally work out for teams this Friday (April 9) at 11:30 a.m. on campus in South Bend, Ind. Clausen has been recovering from toe surgery, and his personal pro day will be the first time talent evaluators will get to see him pass.
He is planning to make all the throws, and the drills will be conducted by Marc Trestman. Trestman is very experienced and knows how to run workouts, as he was a longtime quarterback coach and offensive coordinator with several NFL teams earlier in his career. He is currently the head coach of the Canadian Football League champion Montreal Alouettes.
Clausen will be throwing to three 2009 Irish teammates: WR Golden Tate, WR Robby Parris and RB James Aldridge. He will also be throwing to WR David Grimes, who played with Clausen in 2008, and was in camp last year with the Broncos before getting cut.
