QB prospects still scheduled to visit Redskins

ASHBURN, Va. — Although Donovan McNabb’s news conference at Redskins Park is minutes away, quarterbacks are still visiting the team this week despite the trade.
Jimmy Clausen was here early Tuesday, concluding the second day of his visit. Colt McCoy has also been in for a visit. Sam Bradford is still scheduled to arrive later today, according to his agent, Tom Condon. Condon said that the Redskins’ trade would not change the plans for the visit, and that they expected the Redskins to land a veteran passer. Likewise for Tim Tebow, who also has a visit scheduled with the team.
Washington, with the fourth-overall pick, is virtually certain not to draft a quarterback (I believe getting a left tackle is imperative). But teams have 30 official visits with draft prospects, and the Redskins want to spend time with all the top quarterbacks in the draft, on visits that were planned well before the surprising trade for McNabb.
