It may be time to start paying some more attention to N.C. State C Ted Larsen (6-foot-2 5/8, 306 pounds). NFL teams are certainly doing so.
The Patriots and Eagles offensive line coaches showed up to watch Larsen at N.C. State’s pro day, and Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff and coach Mike Smith were also on hand.
Larsen posted a 26-inch vertical jump and did position workouts. He stood on the rest of his workout numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine.
The two other notable prospects that worked out for 22 team representatives on March 24 were DE Willie Young and RB Toney Baker.
Young (6-5, 250) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.83 and 4.91 seconds, had a 10-foot broad jump, a 7.47-second three-cone drill and stood on his vertical jump from the combine.
Baker (5-9 1/2, 234) ran 4.59 and 4.70 in the 40, had a 37-inch vertical, a 9-foot, 6-inch broad jump, a 4.30-second short shuttle, a 7.33 three-cone drill and did 27 bench press repetitions at 225 pounds.
