Central Florida’s best prospect, DT Torell Troup, didn’t actually work out at the school’s pro day on March 25, but don’t be alarmed. The 6-foot-2, 315-pounder is making the rounds. He is visiting with the Lions on Thursday, has a visit scheduled with the Vikings next week, and has already worked out for the Patriots, Chiefs, Browns, Broncos and Saints.
While Troup chose to stand on his numbers from the NFL Scouting Combine, there were a pair of notable prospects among the nine that worked out for 17 teams indoors on FieldTurf.
Free safety Michael Greco, a former quarterback, (6-2 7/8, 224) ran 4.40 and 4.40 seconds in the 40-yard dash, had a 41 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot, 9-inch broad jump, a 4.10-second short shuttle, a 6.80-second three-cone drill and 22 bench press repetitions.
LB Cory Hogue (6-foot 5/8, 237) ran 4.89 and 4.87 in the 40, had a 34-inch vertical, a 9-8 broad, a 4.16 short shuttle, a 7.20 three-cone drill and 32 bench press reps.
