Occassionally weather dictates that pro days are held under less-than-ideal conditions. Such was the case for Jacksonville State’s (Ala.) March 12 pro day, where players were forced to run outdoors on wet FieldTurf in windy conditions.

As usual, the scouts came out in droves to check out Virginia Tech Pro Day, with representatives from 25 teams in attendance in Blacksburg, Va., on March 18.

The new overtime rule change was not welcome by all coaches, some of whom were not pleased that the vote, which owners approved 28-4, took place earlier than expected and while many of them were out golfing.

At Missouri’s first pro day, which was held on March 4, LB Sean Weatherspoon was the lead headline, putting up some astounding numbers. This time around, Weatherspoon did not participate in workouts, but some of his teammates, including DL Brian Coulter, used the opportunity to improve on their performances.

While owners voted overwhelmingly (28-4) in favor of the new overtime rule, Vikings owner Zygi Wilf challenged its uniformity, arguing it should be applied to both the regular season and playoffs. That might not be that far off.
