Penn State DE Jared Odrick, widely considered a first-round prospect, has already met with the Falcons, Browns and Broncos.

Occassionally weather dictates that pro days are held under less-than-ideal conditions. Such was the case for Jacksonville State’s (Ala.) March 12 pro day, where players were forced to run outdoors on wet FieldTurf in windy conditions.

A few smaller programs — Middle Tennessee State, Nicholls State and Miami (Ohio) — held pro days on March 18.

As usual, the scouts came out in droves to check out Virginia Tech Pro Day, with representatives from 25 teams in attendance in Blacksburg, Va., on March 18.

In an effort to have teams play their top players through the final games of the season, the NFL is considering making the final week — and possibly weeks — of the season all divisional matchups.

At Missouri’s first pro day, which was held on March 4, LB Sean Weatherspoon was the lead headline, putting up some astounding numbers. This time around, Weatherspoon did not participate in workouts, but some of his teammates, including DL Brian Coulter, used the opportunity to improve on their performances.

Despite a somewhat disappointing year in which Ole Miss finished 9-4 and ranked outside the top 15 in both polls, there are still several talented Rebels from that team generating interest in this year’s draft class.

While owners voted overwhelmingly (28-4) in favor of the new overtime rule, Vikings owner Zygi Wilf challenged its uniformity, arguing it should be applied to both the regular season and playoffs. That might not be that far off.

NFL Network’s Solomon Wilcots is against the new overtime playoff rule, while fellow analyst Mike Mayock believes it changes the fabric of the game.

It seems appropriate to wonder whether we’ll ever see Brian Westbrook on an NFL field again.

Myron Rolle’s older brother and manager, McKinley Rolle, revealed Rolle will work out for teams on April 7.
