McCoy reminiscent of Manning? In one way at least

Colt McCoy earned some high praise from Ravens offensive consultant Al Saunders at Texas’ pro day Wednesday. Saunders, one of the architects of St. Louis’ “The Greatest Show on Turf” in the late ’90s, said McCoy reminded him of Peyton Manning in terms of his preparation.
When Manning had his pro day, he made sure to coach the receivers and tell them ahead of time exactly how he wanted them to run each route. McCoy did the same thing on Wednesday.
While the biggest knock on McCoy has been his perceived lack of arm strength, the consensus is that he has a better arm than people give him credit for possessing. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said McCoy has a “C-plus” arm, meaning it is slightly better than average.
On another note, Berts BBQ again stole the show. Take it from me, there is nothing better than concluding a top-notch pro day featuring several elite prospects with an outstanding lunch put on by Berts BBQ.
