Is missing Favre problematic for rest of Vikings?

NFL Network analyst Jamie Dukes was very excited to crank out the Favre Watch animation on NFL Total Access on Wednesday. Unofficially, it’s the first Favre Watch of 2010. It’s pretty certain we don’t keep track of such things.
During a discussion on the NFC North (Have the Bears done enough to overtake the Vikings and Packers? Can the Packers protect QB Aaron Rodgers?), Dukes, Charles Davis and host Fran Charles took a turn with this topic: While the Vikings wait for a decision from Brett Favre, is it problematic that he misses mandatory team work?
“The facts are, the Vikings know what they’re doing,” Dukes opines. “If you don’t want to do what the organization wants to do, look for another job.”
“Management would tell them, ‘Be as great as No. 4, and we’ll talk.’ That’s what it comes down to,” Davis suggests for any troubled teammates. “It’s a roll of the dice for the Vikings. If it implodes, and it comes out bad, that’s a gamble that they took.”
Now that’s offseason fodder.
