Keeping you up to date with the latest visits between NFL prospects and their prospective employers, the most recent report to cross our path is that the Redskins will conduct a private workout with QB Jimmy Clausen.
The workout will take place April 15, according to Jason Reid of The Washington Post.
Clausen, who played in a pro-style offense at Notre Dame under current Chiefs coordinator Charlie Weis, is widely considered by football minds to be the second-rated quarterback available in the draft. Checking our mocks, Charles Davis has Clausen sliding to the Browns (No. 7), and Bucky Brooks has him landing with Bills (No. 9), a pairing that Pat Kirwan also can envision.
Steve Wyche noted earlier this week that Clausen is scheduled to visit with five teams in the top 10 of the draft.
Looking at other Redskins visits, they’re also scheduled to meet with QB Sam Bradford (also on April 15) and safety Eric Berry, who will be in later this week.
