Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was excited enough after watching Sam Bradford’s workout that he posted his thoughts on Twitter.
NFL Network’s Mike Mayock also caught up with Carroll Monday, who didn’t stop there (as in, Bradford “Lit it up!”) with his praise of Bradford.
“I don’t think there’s any question he’s a big-timer,” Carroll offered. “He came through on a big day for himself.”
Even after adding Charlie Whitehurst to “battle” for the starting job with veteran Matt Hasselbeck, Carroll said the Seahawks aren’t out of the quarterback market. Seattle owns the No. 6 and 14 picks in the first round.
“Oh, heck no. No,” Carroll said. “When you look at a guy like [Bradford], this is a guy who could make you for a long time. I don’t know if we’d ever get the chance at it, but we’d love to have it if we had the opportunity.”
