Wake Forest CB Brandon Ghee (5-foot-11, 5/8, 191 pounds) is an explosive athlete, and his impressive workouts are catching the attention of teams. Ghee, who was a top performer for his position in the 40-yard dash, the broad jump, the three-cone drill, the short shuttle and the long shuttle, had another good performance at the Demon Deacons’ pro day.
He had a 10-foot, 2-inch broad jump and an incredible 3.98-second short shuttle. He kept the rest of his numbers from the combine. He has already had individual workouts with the Patriots and Browns, and is scheduled to visit the Cowboys, Jets, Steelers and Vikings.
Ghee is far from the only notable player that participated in Wake Forest’s pro day, which was held on March 26. In total, 15 Demon Deacons worked out, as well as 10 more prospects from smaller schools outdoors on FieldTurf in 65 degree temperatures.
Here is a look at the top prospects:
OL Chris Degeare (6-3 3/8, 322) stood on all of his combine numbers, but did do position drills. He has 33-inch arms.
QB Riley Skinner (5-11 7/8, 215) had an 8-2 broad jump, a 4.40-second short shuttle and did position drills.
DL John Russell (6-2 7/8, 278) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.90 and 4.94 seconds, had a 26-inch vertical jump, an 8-9 broad jump, a 4.53 short shuttle, a 7.15-second three-cone drill and did 30 bench press repetitions at 225 pounds.
DL Boo Robinson (6-1 1/4, 295) ran the 40 in 5.07 and 5.00, had a 27 1/2-inch vertical jump, an 8-5 broad jump, a 4.57 short shuttle, a 7.50 three-cone drill and 33 bench press reps.
Everybody raves about Wake Forest, because head coach Jim Grobe goes out of his way to treat everybody so well.
