Ravens coach John Harbaugh called out LT Jared Gaither last week for missing the first week of voluntary offseason workouts. Gaither’s response? I’m coming, coach.
Gaither told the Baltimore Sun that he would report to the team Monday — something he planned to do anyway after finishing rehabilitation on a right ankle injury.
“I didn’t want to abruptly stop it,” Gaither said Sunday. “I’m done, and I’m going to get back with the team. I’m still rehabbing the strength more. The injuries I had last year just stripped me in those areas. That’s really what I was doing.”
Gaither also told the Sun that it would be “my dream” to stay with the Ravens, for whom he started the last two seasons. There was some speculation that the Ravens were shopping Gaither after they placed a first-round tender on him this offseason. Gaither hasn’t signed the tender.
