Young: Leadership is ‘major’ role this season

By the sound of it, Vince Young has embraced his new leadership role with the Titans.
Young, taking part in workouts with the Titans this week, said Thursday that his approach has to be as more of a leader.
“The biggest thing is that my leadership role has to play a major, major part this year because we’ve had a lot of guys who are leaving. We’ve got some new faces,” Young said. “[It's up to me], as a leader, to say some more. Talk a little bit more and get the guys motivated. I’m willing to take that job on.”
The offseason has brought about a different landscape in Tennessee — veterans Alge Crumpler and Kyle Vanden Bosch are now gone, and Kevin Mawae and Keith Bulluck aren’t likely to return. Talking about Young, Titans coach Jeff Fisher offered these thoughts to NFL.com’s Steve Wyche when asked about his quarterback’s development.
“It’s really pretty simple. Just keeping winning,” Fisher said from the NFL Annual Meeting earlier this week. “I think we’ll see more improvement out of him, because it’s just the nature of the position, especially when you add a year of experience.”
