NFL Network analyst Solomon Wilcots — you watch him on NFL Playbook during the season — is in the house in Los Angeles this week, and unveiled a top 10 mock draft on NFL Total Access on Wednesday.
Among the notable picks he expects teams to make, Wilcots believes the Lions will go with DT Ndamukong Suh. Lions coach Jim Schwartz paired DT Albert Haynesworth and DE Kyle Vanden Bosch together while in Tennessee, and now could slide Suh into the mix with Vanden Bosch and Corey Williams.
The top five picks are rounded out by DT Gerald McCoy (Buccaneers, No. 3), Russell Okung (Redskins, No. 4) and Bryan Bulaga (Chiefs, No. 5).
Wilcots didn’t leave us without a surprise pick. He has the Jaguars taking Texas safety Earl Thomas — who Bucky Brooks, Charles Davis and Pat Kirwan all project to be picked in the 20s — at No. 10.
