Sparano: Dolphins aren’t interested in T.O., Marshall

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Dolphins are looking for playmakers at wide receiver, but coach Tony Sparano didn’t sound like a man who’s eager to make a move for either of the two biggest names available — Terrell Owens and Brandon Marshall.
Marshall, a restricted free agent, and Owens, an unrestricted free agent, have each made one visit thus far (to the Seahawks and Bengals, respectively), and the Dolphins — a big-spending team — would seem to make sense for each of them as possible landing spots. But Sparano certainly isn’t campaigning for them.
“I don’t know if they make sense for our ballclub, one way or the other,” Sparano said Tuesday morning at the NFL Annual Meeting, adding that, “I’m happy with the group of players I have right now.”
