Fifteen team representatives, including receiver coaches from the Lions and Bengals showed up to Bowling Green’s pro day on March 16.
Why? To watch Freddie Barnes. The receiver led the nation with 155 catches in 2009, and that production attracts interest.
Barnes (6-foot, 215 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.67 and 4.70 seconds, had a 30 1/2-inch vertical jump, an 8-foot, 11-inch broad jump, a 4.55-second short shuttle, a 7.16-second three-cone drill and did 12 bench press repetitions at 225 pounds.
Bowling Green QB Tyler Sheehan was his quarterback, as he worked out for about 45 minutes doing position drills.
