One of the year’s most amazing workouts came from Pittsburgh TE Dorin Dickerson at the NFL Scouting Combine. He was a top performer for his position in just about every category (40-yard dash, bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, three-cone drill, and short shuttle.
With numbers like that, it should be no surprise that he stood on his combine numbers at Pittsburgh’s pro day. He did re-run the short shuttle and improved on his combine time of 4.30 seconds to 4.23 at the pro day.
He also performed well in position drills.
Twenty seven team representatives were on hand to watch Dickerson and three other notable prospects work out on March 16. A total of 15 prospects worked out indoors on FieldTurf, and Cardinals passing game coordinator Mike Miller was on hand.
Here are the other noteworthy performances:
TE Nate Byham (6-foot-3 7/8, 264 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.91 and 4.94 seconds, had a 31 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot, 9-inch broad jump, a 4.45-second short shuttle, a 7.05-second three-cone drill, and did 18 bench press repetitions at 225 pounds.
OL Robb Houser (6-2, 294) ran the 40 in 5.26 and 5.21, had a 30-inch vertical jump, an 8-11 broad jump, a 4.73 short shuttle, a 7.62 three-cone drill and 33 bench press reps.
QB Bill Stull (6-2, 211) ran the 40 in 4.92 and 4.97, had a 27-inch vertical jump, a 9-8 broad jump, and 15 bench press reps.
