Keep an eye on Montana State’s Fletcher

One of the pre-draft season’s intriguing aspects is how some small-school standouts can gain more national recognition, and make their way up the board. Montana State DE/LB Dane Fletcher is just such a player.
One of the all-time sack leaders in the Big Sky conference will get a lot of attention between now and the draft, and a lot of teams are going to be looking at him as a possible outside linebacker in the 3-4 defensive scheme.
At Montana State’s pro day, he ran a 4.61 and 4.63 in the 40-yard dash, had a 36-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot, 3-inch broad jump, a 4.35-second short shuttle, a 6.93-second three-cone drill and did 29 bench press repetitions at 225 pounds.
The Bobcats’ pro day took place March 16 outdoors on FieldTurf with no wind at all in front of a Seahawks scout.
