Hamstring hampers Louisiana Lafayette’s Davis

One man was the star of the show at the University of Louisiana Lafayette’s pro day on March 16. Representatives from 20 NFL teams, including defensive line coaches from the Saints, Rams and Bengals, saw seven athletes perform, but their gaze was fixed on defensive lineman Hall Davis.
The 6-foot-4 1/8, 270-pounder ran a 4.89 in his first 40-yard dash, then pulled up with a left hamstring injury about 30 yards into his second run (He has the same problem at the combine). But Davis pushed on, finishing each discipline before doing position drills.
He had a 34.5-inch vertical leap, 9-6 broad jump, 4.63 short shuttle, 7.53 three-cone drill and 27 bench press repetitions of 225 pounds.
