Was adding L.T. a good move?

Now that LaDainian Tomlinson has signed with the New York Jets, it leaves us almost six months of time to speculate on whether the move will pay off. There’s no time like now to get started.
NFL Network analysts Jamie Dukes and Rod Woodson took up the topic Monday on NFL Total Access. Both agreed that the Jets represent an ideal situation for Tomlinson. Woodson, however, sees the player the Jets allowed to leave — Thomas Jones — as the better option.
“I don’t think it’s a great move on the team’s part,” Woodson said. “I think the player that has more left in the tank — which is funny to say, because he has a year more in the league — is Thomas Jones. That being said, it’s a good move by L.T.
“At least going to the Jets, he has an opportunity to take the ball a little bit more. In his mind, I think he wants to show everybody — especially the San Diego Chargers — he can play at a high level.”
