Free-agent CB Donald Strickland has agreed to a two-year deal with the Chargers, according to a league source.
Strickland has been in the NFL since 2003 and spent last season with the Jets, with whom he started two of nine games, recording 26 tackles and two sacks. He was a third-round draft pick by the Colts.
The Chargers were looking for cornerback depth after trading Antonio Cromartie to the Jets last week.
UPDATE: The team confirmed the move later Friday.
